Uplighting is a definite "must have" for creating that perfect atmosphere at your Wedding. It really it adds more “pizazz” than any other decoration at your reception.
Colour
You can start the evening with a color scheme to compliment your decoration and the room. Nice bright colors all around the room will really impact the mood of your guests. The lights can be kept at a static color or be made to transition slowly from one color to another. Later when the dancing starts, the lights in the room can be made to "dance" along with the beat of the music by changing colors and turning on and off.
How many lights?
The number of fixtures depends on the size of the room. For a room that will hold between 150 - 200 guests I find that 20 fixtures will do the trick. It's better to have a few extra than to come up short and leave one area of the room uneven... it will really show!
Ask your DJ if he can provide uplighting for your wedding - it certainly adds to the wow factor.
